Eyelash extensions at the best beauty salon in Dubai

If eyes are the window to a person’s soul, then eyelashes are like the curtains which beautify and adorn those windows. Eyelashes enhance the beauty and allure of a person’s, especially a woman’s, face by adding depth and mystery to the eyes and the entire face.

Eyelashes are more attractive when they are long, thick and full. Over the centuries, women have used many tips and tricks to lengthen and thicken their eyelashes to make them look fuller, sometimes with damaging results. Various chemicals applied on the lashes with this intention have given women allergic reactions, irritation and redness in the eyes and even the falling of eyelashes, the exact opposite of what they were trying to achieve.

Now, however, the invention of eyelash extensions or temporary, false eyelashes have helped women achieve their goal of longer, thicker and fuller lashes in a safe and hygienic manner. Eyelash extensions come in several forms - full strips, clusters, and individual/one-by-one extensions; various lengths, colours and thicknesses, from natural-looking, to glamorous,to dramatic. Whatever look you want to create can be achieved through lash extensions.

Charges for these services depend on the type and number of lashes used, the skill of the beautician, and the salon and its reputation. It could take between an hour and two hours to attach a full new set. An average person has from 30 to 80 lashes per eye. The variance in the number of lashes accounts for the difference in how long it takes to apply extensions.  They usually last around three to four weeks, after which they may start thinning or falling out. Maintaining a full set of lashes will require refillings every three to four weeks.

However, eyelash extensions or any other eye makeup or eye treatments should be carried out to stringent standards in order for them to look real and not artificial, and to prevent the adverse effects we have mentioned above. So, if you wish to enhance the beauty of your eyes by getting a set of eyelash extensions, think well before choosing a salon or spa for the treatment.

De La Mer Day Spa is the best place to go if you want eyelash extensions in Dubai. The qualified and experienced beauticians and therapists work only with the best products, ensuring that you won’t end up with allergies or infections. Treat your nails to a makeover!

We may think that our nails are hidden and out of sight and are therefore not noticed by others, but did you know that nails, especially fingernails, are some of the most prominent and noticeable parts of our bodies? Whenever we are dealing with other people or in social situations, our fingers and toes come very much into the spotlight.

If we have bitten, broken, discoloured nails or worse still, nails with polish chipping and peeling away, this would leave a not very good impression about us among the people that we come into contact with. As we all know, first impressions are lasting impressions and the first impression we make depends a lot on our appearance.

Although most women tend to pay attention to their hair, makeup and clothes, nails are generally ignored as most believe that they remain out of sight. This is not so: Can you hold a pen, a cup of tea, a notepad or anything else for that matter without drawing attention to your hands and fingers and thus, your nails?

Maintaining our nails in good shape is therefore very important if we want to give the impression that we are neat, tidy and organised. Unkempt nails look most unbecoming and generally signify a disorganised, disorderly and unstable character. Apart from how it looks, badly maintained nails, especially toenails, gather dust and dirt and are therefore unhygienic and would be a breeding ground for germs of all sorts.

It is within the means of any person to keep their nails in good condition. All they have to do is to trim the nails regularly, apply a moisturiser to keep the nails as well as the fingers and toes supple and refrain from biting and using nails as tin openers etc. which would result in breakage. An occasional coat of nail polish won’t hurt either, but nail polish has to be removed regularly too, because if left for too long, it could lead to nails becoming discoloured.

But there’s nothing your hands and feet will enjoy more than going for a professional manicure/pedicure respectively. They enhance the health of nails, promoting faster growth and maintaining well moisturised cuticles.

A professionally done manicure will clean and shape the nails and treat the cuticles, which is important for the maintenance of healthy and strong nails. During a manicure, the hands are exfoliated to remove dead skin cells and to improve circulation and stimulate blood flow. Painting the nails also come as an option. A manicure makes the hands and nails look good, and is also very relaxing.

Feet are one of the most neglected parts of our bodies and are rarely included in our beauty regimes. That is why an occasional professional pedicure may do them a world of good. During a pedicure, the toe nails are cleaned, shaped and trimmed to prevent ingrown nails. The exfoliating and massaging will relieve aching feet and muscles and stimulate circulation. The oils and moisturising potions will keep feet well-hydrated and prevent dry cracked heels, which can be painful, unsightly and unhygienic.

Manicures/pedicures are some of the most popular treatments sought by customers at the De La Mer Day Spa, which is widely known as the best spa in Dubai. The benefits of the treatments done here are increased as they are performed by experienced, qualified and professional spa therapists who know exactly what their customers want.

Some of the nail treatments performed at the De La Mer Nail Spa are Spa Manicure and Pedicure with almond scrub and almond mask, French manicure and pedicure, buffing and polishing of hands and feet, application of nail polish, breathable polish by Inglot Manicure and Pedicure Colour/French, Vinylux manicure and pedicure in colour/French, Shellac manicure and pedicure, gel overlays, refills and removals, acrylic extensions, overlays and removals, nail art, Gelish manicures and pedicures, application of Oulac colour changing gel and paraffin treatments for hands and feet.

So, if you want nails which are the envy of all your friends and colleagues, head over to the De La Mer Day Spa at Jumeirah Beach, Umm Suqeim 2, Villa No. 783. You will not only enjoy the glow and suppleness radiated by your hands and feet, but also the relaxing and nourishing experience you receive at the Spa.

Relax At The Spa Like A Star

We may all try to replicate celebrity beauty trends, shopping hot spots, their famous hangouts and what their best spa in Dubai is. Often when we visit a spa our number one priority is to relax and feel like we are having the best top-notch treatment possible. When considering how to spend your next spa day, here is a helpful list of spa treatments, some of which are obtained by the celebrities to add a little rest and relaxation in their lives.

Eyelash extensions in Dubai  - Often one of the best kept secrets are having eyelash extensions, which transforms the lashes into a fuller and thicker look. These lash extensions are made of a synthetic material and are applied one by one, on upper and lower lids. Eyelash extensions do not damage an individual's natural lashes and the extensions stay on for roughly 4 - 6 weeks and fall off on their own.  Some individuals may experience pain, however, be rest assured that the process does not hurt at all but fall off on their own. The lash extension treatment gives a person longer, fuller and thicker eyelashes as well.

Detox - Often used as an effective treatment method to lose weight and become energized, detoxing targets the toxins in your body and breaks up fatty deposits. This is a common way the celebrities get their detox treatment. Seaweed body treatments are the most effective as the skin absorbs the minerals in the wrap. The minerals work to make the skin smooth. Detox treatments are great for targeting cellulite or after childbirth.

Holistic Facial - The mind, body and spirit focused facial takes a person's entire system into a deep state of relaxation. This is one of the most appealing celebrity treatments at the spa in Dubai, this spa treatment not only beautifies a woman's face, but targets the mind, body and soul as well.  Holistic facials are based on Chinese traditions and uses chi energy to target nerves in the body for incredible revitalization.

Some of the other treatments spotted being purchased by celebrities at the spas in Dubai includes oil massages, the caviar pedicure, which uses fish eggs to replenish the skin, and the Geisha facial. More commonly known as the bird poop facial, this Japanese traditional spa treatment uses natural ingredients including nightingale droppings to improve the skin's natural complexion. I guess most ladies will pass this treatment out.

As with all treatments, procedures and spa's its always good to use a spa that is highly recognized and therapist who is highly experienced and has received a  cosmetology license. After all, since all these procedures are associated with your looks its best to be safe than sorry. Achieving a celebrity look is good, but why not enhance your own natural good looks, which can be compared to a celebrity, any day.

Healthy Benefits At The Spa Is Beyond Describable

We know that a majority of our guests who walk in for a treatment at our Spa in Dubai, want to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, of course!. But a trip to the spa is doing more than helping you to feel good and pampered, not that there is anything wrong with that, but the spa experience also provides numerous health benefits to help you feel relaxed, rested and live well.

We would like to highlight a few healthy advantages of what spa and wellness therapies at our Woman’s Spa can do,

Sleep health - Spa treatment in a recent study has proved to be beneficial and is linked to lower blood pressure and increase an individual's sleep pattern, drastically so that you can have a good night's rest.

Stress management - Massages relax tense muscles and calms the nervous system, resulting in the body’s rhythm to slow, blood pressure to lower, heart rate to settle, and breathing to become deeper and more rhythmic and eliminates stress.

Reduces anxiety - Meditation and yoga are both great alternatives. Yoga results in a significant increase in a critical brain chemical that improves the mood and lowers anxiety, while meditation techniques will reduce anxiety, depression, and pain.

Pain Management - Some of the best alternatives and Woman’s Spa treatment to reduce pain include,

  • Acupressure - Acupressure is much more effective than physical therapy, in lowering chronic back pain, according to a recent study. Many people who suffer from frequent or chronic tension headaches identified acupuncture as a pain reliever.
  • Hydrotherapy - This reduces pain in those who suffer from fibromyalgia. Hydrotherapy or exercise in water has a long history of use as a treatment for musculoskeletal conditions. As you can see, a visit to the spa can be very beneficial to people with certain back problems.
  • Hot Springs - Pain and quality of life improved for osteoarthritis sufferers who soak themselves in mineral springs.
  • Pilates - Pilates is considered to be more favorable with massage therapy for near-term lower back pain.

Skin Conditions - While most of our clients book facials and  spa-based skin care services to ensure healthy complexions or combat problems such as aging, acne, rosacea, etc., other therapies have proven to aid those with skin ailments as well. For instance, massage therapy can increase the uptake of vital skin-repairing nutrients and speed the removal of toxins. Improved circulation helps moisturize the skin, improves the texture, while easing dryness and itching.

Alternating between hot and cold Hydrotherapy facilities like showers, sauna and steam rooms, cold plunge pools, and whirlpools also helps tone the skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite.

While, soaking in mineral-rich hot thermal springs or baths, it can help alleviate skin problems like psoriasis and eczema.

Buoyancy - Even the most fit person has a lot of weight on the joints. When you are sitting in a spa, the natural buoyancy of the water supports approximately 90% of the weight.  This obviously reduces the strain on the joints, by giving them a little "down time" from the day's activities.   Pressure is greatly reduced on all joints and muscles while you are relaxing in a hot tub.

The Perfect Spa Pedicure

When you visit a spa in Dubai, you want your entire body to be pampered. Your tired muscles are massaged, your face is rejuvenated and perfectly moisturized, and hands are elegantly manicured. So if you pay so much attention to your body, then why not do the same thing for your feet as well.

The truth is that spa pedicures vary considerably in quality and in some spas, a pedicure doesn’t amount to much more than having your toenails buffed and polished, whereas other spas provide an amazing range of treatments such as a reflexology massage in Dubai. So, what should you look for when choosing a spa to have an amazing pedicure done and what is exactly the perfect spa pedicure you may wonder.

Firstly, a pedicure is not a treatment that you can have in an instant or very quickly. If a spa tells you that they will give you a pedicure in 15 minutes, then you should not believe them and you should walk away. At a minimum, a good pedicure should take at least half an hour, while more extensive treatments can last up to an hour and a half, depending on the type of treatment that is chosen.

Before, having a spa pedicure however, you should make sure that your feet are clean and relatively healthy. In particular, look for any thickening or cracking of toenails, since this can be a sign that you're having a fungal infection and this should be attended to immediately, using a toenail fungus treatment, prior to having a pedicure and not spread the infection any further.

However, assuming that your feet are in relatively good condition, then your pedicure will commence with a therapeutic foot spa or bath, which is designed to soften the skin and to cleanse it. This prepares it for the rest of the treatments that are going to follow such as nail extensions in Dubai.

Once the feet have been washed, bathed and dried, the next step should be an exfoliating scrub. Typically salts or minerals are used to get rid of the dead skin on the feet. However, in some individuals there may be a skin build up in places such as the heels, then the  pedicurist will also use a pumice stone to remove the heavy layers and dead skin cells.  Alternatively, they may use a solution of glycolic acid to melt away that heavy, dead skin instead. Once the feet are exfoliated, they should feel soft and smooth to the touch, and the feet should be ready for the next stage in the pedicure treatment.

Once the feet are clean and free of dead skin cells, the pedicurist will start to work on the nails. Initially, excess cuticles will be removed from the nails. This may sound painful, but it will not hurt if it's carried out by an experienced and skilled pedicurist. Next, the nails are softened by applying various oils to them. This makes it very easy for the nails to be cut and avoid splitting. Once this is done the nails are shaped properly, while the rough edges are smoothed out with an emery board.

Thereafter, the feet and  legs are given a massage, so that the feet relaxes and the feet are given an extra glow. Once this is completed, then it is time to have nail polish applied.
